The Rotary Club of Leechburg is dedicated to providing scholarships to high school seniors who exemplify themselves through service to their community. The honoree shall be the student(s) that most exemplifies the spirit of Rotary and community volunteerism by way of their involvement, leadership, and accomplishments in community projects throughout their high school career
Students living in the geographical area of the Kiski Area and Leechburg Area School Districts are invited and encouraged to apply.
To be eligible for our scholarship, the honoree must meet the following requirements:
- Complete the Rotary Scholarship Application;
- An essay using the Rotary theme "Service Above Self." Including your thoughts on how community service is valuable to our world and how you can play a part in the future. Pictures or a scrapbook may also be submitted;
- A letter of recommendation from the volunteer organization or institution where you served. If not available, then from a teacher, school administrator, priest, pastor, employer, or a community leader;
- Proof of acceptance to an accredited college or trade school;
- Submission deadline: April 24, 2024
The scholarship shall be awarded at a Leechburg Rotary Club Meeting in the month of June. The recipient must attend a meeting in the month of June to receive the scholarship.
